Tartufo di Pizzo was invented here in the 1950s at Bar Dante on the main square. It's a ball of hazelnut and chocolate gelato with a molten chocolate center, dusted with cocoa. Now famous worldwide, but nothing beats eating the original on Piazza della Repubblica overlooking the sea.
